Pigmentation

Are you worried about ageing? You may not have frown lines or crows feet, but a common reason why people feel they look older is because of uneven skin tone. Now I am not talking about freckles, but bigger and darker blotches on the skin. These dark spots are caused by the suns damage to the skin and specifically the UVA rays that get deep into the skin and cause ageing.

Until recent years one of the only ways to really treat pigmentation was with lasers, which are a good option for some but come with many drawbacks. Lasers are expensive, can cause a lot of down-time and the problem can come back.

Another option is with prescription strength bleaching creams containing steroids but these can be irritant and toxic, and some contain mercury which is illegal. NOT a pretty solution.

These are some of the pigmentation products that ACTUALLY work!

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector (£39.50, clinique.co.uk) is an award winning serum that promises “prescription level results.”

Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Correcting System (£55,philosophyskincare.co.uk) contains the brand’s powerful Dark Spot Corrector

Shiseido Intensive Anti-Spot Serum (currently £64.80) works on the genetic source of dark spots and targets areas with laser precision. Having developed their first brightening product in 1971 this super skincare brand always trouble-shoots and succeeds.

Use a spoon!

Use a spoon to create the perfect winged liner!

Hold the handle of a spoon against the outer corner of your eye and draw the straight line as step one of your winged liner. Then, flip the spoon so the round part is against the eyelid, and use this to create a winged effect!Photo on 15-09-2016 at 09.29.jpgPhoto on 15-09-2016 at 09.30.jpgPhoto on 15-09-2016 at 09.30 #2.jpg

Makeup Tips!

The best products to use before applying foundation!

When starting to apply your makeup, you will need these three things; moisturiser, primer and a colour corrector! These help your skins health but also the appearance of your skin when you have applied your makeup.

Yes it would be so nice to apply your foundation in one easy step but the truth is, for perfect, flawless looking skin you need to moisturise, prime and colour correct! Your makeup will also last longer. Colours also look richer and more intense.

Step by step:

Step 1: Moisturise

First, I moisturise, right after I wash my face! Once I have applied my moisturiser, I give it enough time to fully absorb and sink in, which is usually around 5 minutes. This step is very important because if the moisturiser is still wet, products applied on top won’t last as long as they should/could.

Step 2: Prime

Now it is time to prime. This goes on top of my moisturised skin, and again allow time to absorb and set on the skin. This is usually another 5 minutes.

Step 3: Colour correct

Once the skin is primed, I will colour correct any redness, dark circles, blotches on my skin.

Green concealers neutralises any redness on the skin. Purple eliminate any unwanted yellow undertones.

Pink concealers, (salmon/peach) are ideal for brightening the eye area and masking those tired eyes.

Yellow concealers are great for hiding any purple or blue bruises, veins and under eye circles.

Step 4: Apply your foundation. Always apply with a foundation brush where possible. You will use less product and your makeup will go on much better and give you more even coverage.

Sorry to bother you but can you help me to my question?
